“The angle of this image is its greatest asset, but I love how a visual line is drawn from the tips of each of her fingers to the connection between her groom and her.”

“Great Kansas Morning Light!”

Jeff and I met up with Karlee and the ladies at Charisma Salon where Karlee works. Karlee swapped rolls and instead of her doing hair she was in the hot seat getting her hair done and make-up applied. Karlee had her her hair swooped over to one side and curled with a flower. Looked very elegant.
“Sneaking a Peak.”

“The finishing touch.”

Afterwards we traveled down to Bell Plain where the ceremony would take place. It is definitely worth a day to take and walk around their beautiful place. We had so many different angles to shoot we felt like a kid in a candy store. The lady their, Robin, is so nice and was a so nice to work with. We want to give a special thanks to her for allowing us to use her golf cart to go from one end of the property to the next.
“Outside of the place where Karlee got ready was a old church pew. Thought it was fitting to place the rings on since Mike’s ring is made from wood.”

“Being an outside wedding and all the greenery that surrounded them I thought placing the rings on the plant was fitting as well.”

Karlee and Mike had decided not to see each other so we did as many with Karlee and Mike beforehand without them together. Mike, groomsmen, and ringbearers all looked very stunning in black tuxes, white shirts with skinny black ties with their shoes black/white converse. The ladies all wore fuschia long dresses with different designs. Karlee’s dress had spaghetti straps that went over the shoulders and crisscrossed in the back.
“Outside on the porch of the building where Karlee got ready.”

The ceremony began at 3:30 on a logged stage that sat back into the woods and the meadow was lined with white chairs for their guests to watch. They did time the wedding where everyone was in the shade. After the ceremony we finished up family pics and got some pics of the two of them. The Party Express Bus waited to pick up the wedding party and then it was off to the party held at The Whiskey Creek restaurant in downtown Wichita. They had rented the whole place for the evening. The evening began with ordering what they wanted from the menu then toasts, cake cutting and then rolled right into bouquet/garter and first dances. The groom’s cake looked like a case of Boulevard Wheat Beer.
“The colors and natural light from a near by window work very well together showcasing the cake very well.”

“The quality and treatment of light here transform them into almost two-climentional figures; almost like an Any Warhol painting would. (Very interesting pop art feel.)

Mike, Stacy and friends celebrating:
