We met Brooke, her Mom, Grandma, sister and bridesmaids at Tres Belle Salon in Derby and then headed to Brooke’s parents where they had their make-up done. Once they were ready, we headed to First Christian Church in Derby for the ceremony. The church was nicely decorated with candles lining the aisle and a huge bouquet on the alter. Brooke’s bouquet was done by the Flower Factory with uniquely beautiful green roses.
During the ceremony, everyone was surprised after Brooke’s dad stated he & her mom gave her away, and then her dad’s fellow police officers and friends announced that they did too. After the ceremony, the couple greeted their guests by ushering them out of the pews, getting a chance to thank everyone personally for coming to share their day with them.
After the ceremony, the couple met us near the Keeper of the Plains which was right next to Exploration Place where the reception was taking place and their guests where enjoying dinner catered by Blue Moon. We were so blessed with a beautiful night after the early morning hail storms and prediction for more evening storms.

Once they were announced in, Brooke & Levi headed straight for the cake table and then it was on to the toasts, first dance, father/daughter dance, bouquet toss and garter toss. Oh yeah, the garter was camoflouge in tribute to when Levi proposed to Brooke while they were out turkey hunting. It was a great night and highlighted at the end by fireworks from Lawrence DuMont stadium.

Brooke & Levi, thank you so much to you and your families for making us feel so welcome. It was such an honor to meet all of them and to share your day with you. Enjoy your honeymoon and good luck Brooke with your State Boards – you’re going to be a great nurse! And “Above all, love each other deeply” 1 Peter 4:8

Saturday May 31st Jeff and I got up and drove to Bartlesville, Oklahoma for Amanda and Gary’s wedding. With Gary in the Air Force in South Dakota and Amanda in Oklahoma we had booked them over the phone quite awhile ago. Since we didn’t get a chance to do an engagement session it was the first time to meet them and their families. They are a very nice couple and also very talented. They met in Australia while on a trip when they were 9 years old. Years later while in college they met back up again through friends and the rest is history!

The wedding took place in the back yard of a country Victorian home. When guests arrived they gathered under the covered porch and visited before being seated on the lawn. Blue bows were tied to all the white chairs and their programs were slid through the back of the slots of the chairs. The ladies all wore navy with different designed dresses that matched their personalities. They carried a clutch of light blue hydrangeas. Amanda wore a beautiful strapless dress with bead work and embroidery on the bodice and on a slit down the side to the train. Amanda had designed the jewelry that she wore and were her and Gary’s birthstones. The necklace was propellers as he was a pilot. She also had designed their rings- so it was very unique and original.

The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father and Gary’s eyes were solely on Amanda- it was their first time to see each other during the ceremony. He wore his Air Force uniform. The ceremony was 10 minutes max and we moved around to get many different angles as quickly as possible. After the ceremony, guests gathered under a shaded tree as the couple cut their cake on the gazebo connected to the house. They also shared some bubbly! The cake was three tiered with turtles hugging as their cake topper. The groom’s cake had little Australian figurines on it such as a kangaroo, koala, crocodile and more.

Guests then all socialized under 2 white tents outside and ate dinner that was catered by Rib Cage. Jeff and I finished up pictures with the two families and then with the couple themselves. Their videographer, Jim with Captain Video Productions, documented as we took Amanda and Gary around to different locations on the farm. After pictures we got them to their party and they were announced as husband and wife as they danced their first song on the driveway. They then had the father-daughter and mother-son dances. Mingling with friends and family is something they both enjoyed until a few rolls of thunder. They made their way into the house and prepared for the grand exit as the guests made a path in the front lawn to Amanda’s dad’s Cadillac while it rained down birdseed!

It was really nice to meet you guys and document your special day. We hope you have a blast in Alaska! Stay in Touch!

Jeff and I started at 11:00 a.m. documenting Jessica as she was finishing up her hair at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in the Vice Presidential Suite. She did all her bridal prep there. Holly from Eric Fisher Salon was the hair stylist for Jessica and also did her make-up using MAC Makeup products. Jessica had a smile that didn’t leave her face all day! She had planned her day very relaxed and made sure she had time to enjoy it and not be rushed. Jessica’s final choice on a dress couldn’t had fit her better. It was a Timeless Designer Maggie Sottero Catarina. “The Dress” was a one-piece, strapless with a sweetheart neckline. Embellished lace created the fitted bodice. The Capri taffeta symmetrically fell toward a dramatic side pleat and ended with a chapel length train. The Hyatt Hotel makes a great backdrop for photos and we really took advantage of that.

Around 12:15 with plenty of time to spare Jessica said she was ready to get into her dress because she was so excited to see all of the attire put together. Jessica looked amazing and breathtaking. After wearing her dress for a bit she slipped it off again and enjoyed more time with her friends. Then she got back into her dress and we went downstairs and did a mini bridal session around the hotel. After the bridal pictures, Jeff went and checked in on what the guys were up to. He found them in the Hotel pool having a great time. The guys then got ready in the Presidential Suite. Jake’s tux was a gift from his father for him to wear on the wedding day. It was a D. Grant LTD brand and he got it in Salt Lake City, Utah. Inside of the tux was stitched “Tailored Exclusively For Jacob Kailer”. Jake’s shoes were from designer Mezlan. The lavender wedding color carried throughout from the bridesmaid’s dresses to men’s vests under their tuxes to the reception.

After doing a photo session with Jake and his four groomsmen, an Artistic Limousine arrived to pick up the bridal party. A black Artistic Town Car arrived as well to take Jessica and her father over to the ceremony taking place at the Asbury United Methodist Church. Asbury was where Jessica grew her faith with Jake as they dated. Jessica’s father escorted her down the aisle to her nervous, excited, and full-of-joy groom. They both exchanged vows in happy tears. After the ceremony they were showered with lavender from their guests for a “fake leave”. They returned to the church shortly after and we did some family formals up at the front of the church before leaving and taking some pics of the two of them at other locations. On the way over to the Indian Center where their reception was, we stopped at the Keeper of the Plains and took some pics on the bridge
and around the Keeper.

Tyler, with Another Dimension DJ, announced the newlyweds as Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Kailer into their reception. They made their grand entrance down the stairs to the room full of family and friends. Blue Moon Catering had salad, chicken and pork with barbeque, green beans and mashed potatoes. After Jessica and Jacob arrived they cut their cake then went and mingled to thank guests for coming. After dinner both the maid of honor and best man gave their speeches to the bride and groom.

Following was the formal dances including Jessica and Jacob’s first dance as husband and wife along with the father-daughter and mother-son dances. It was then announced for everyone to make a circle on the dance floor with Jessica and Jacob in the middle. Jessica’s dad had the microphone and sang to them as they danced. Definitely was a tear jerker as it was apparent that Jessica and her dad are so close. The D.J. played a few more songs and the garter and bouquet toss was performed. The dance floor wasn’t quiet after that! They really know how to have a good time!

We want to thank you both for letting us be a part of your day. Hope you get to have a blast in Maui and get some time to relax. Even though you guys live all the way in Salt Lake City please stay in touch and stop by when you’re back visiting family!

We started the day by meeting Becca and her bridesmaids at Salon Uruku where they were all getting their hair done. Barry & Steph with Fat Cat Productions where also there to help document their day. Becca had her hair done in a timeless style with a pink peony tucked in back instead of a veil. Later, Barry & Brett headed to Northrock Lanes to capture Jacob and the guys hanging out & bowling a few frames before meeting back up with everyone at the Scottish Rite Temple where the wedding and reception took place.

The ceremony took place in the auditorium where the alter was decorated beautifully with candles and flowers. The flowers were done by Moore’s Flowers and consisted of the most fragrant pink roses, peonies, hydrangeas and a multitude of other flowers. They smelled as beautiful as they looked (which says a lot). The aisle was lined with pink rose petals as Jacob saw Becca for the first time. Jacob got very choked up during the very personal and lovely ceremony. The minister has seen Becca grow up and had gotten to know Jacob through the many years that they’ve dated making it a very touching ceremony. After the ceremony, the couple and wedding party rode the trolley downtown where Brett, Alex and Steph were able to do some fun shots with the couple and show their fun loving personalities. During this time, their guests were enjoying the chocolate fountain with Cero’s delicious chocolate.

After entering down the grand staircase and being announced in by Ron Brown with Another Dimension, the couple and wedding guests were entertained by the “Love Story” Barry & Steph and done of the couple telling how they met and how Jacob proposed. It was hilarious and definitely showcased their personalities and relationship. Of course, the highlight was seeing Becca’s dad dance in the video.
The couple greeted their guests as they made their way through the buffet line, catered by Tony Dee’s Catering. The couple barely had a chance to eat when it was time for toasts and for the dance to get started. Once the dance started, the party was in full swing.
Becca & Jacob, it was an honor to document your day.

Friday started off with a bang, literally, I met up with Anthony, his dad, and Canon (a groomsman) at the sporting clays range for a round of shooting before the wedding. It was a great time, and even though the wind was making the targets fly pretty erratic, all the guys were able to hit quite a few. After the shooting was over I headed to Cheveaux salon to meet up with the ladies for hair and makeup.

Once all was done, we headed to Central Christian Church to finish getting ready, take the formal portraits, and of course, the ceremony. The church was decorated beautifully with a large arbor adorned with flowers. Kimmy’s mom and one of her friends did an excellent job with most of the decorations. Kimmy’s bouquet, the bridesmaids bouquets and all the other fresh flowers were done by Susan’s Florals.

After the ceremony, the couple left to a shower of bubbles and since the kids had bubble guns they produced a ton of bubbles. The couple drove away in a bright yellow Corvette. We stopped at Bradley Fair to take a few pics before heading the The Villa in Andover for the reception. And luckily, the police didn’t give Anthony a speeding ticket after seeing Kimmy in her wedding dress. The couple was introduced down the grand staircase. They went straight to the cake table and then had a chance to mingle with their guests before finally getting a bite to eat and starting the dance. The night flew by and everyone seemed to have a great time.

Kimmy & Anthony, thank you so much for letting us be part of your day. To take the quote from your program, “Two lives united in friendship, Two Friends united in love, One love united in Christ.”, it’s what everyone hopes to find and what you two have in each other.
