Nicole started her day at Sola Salons to get her hair done. Although we have been to many of the salons in Wichita, Sola was a new destination for us to document hair. Nicole hung out with her bridesmaids as they got their hair done as well. The stylist, Ray, was very good and fast. He rolled all the girl’s hair in barrel curls and clipped them up. This gave them all a 40′s hair style. Ray said with the weather being humid he would leave the girl’s hair up till right before pictures and follow them to the church to let their hair down and spray with “Pantene” hairspray. Ray was fun and he made the girl’s day very special. After the salon we headed to Nicole’s house to pick up her dress and a few last minute details before heading to the church.

I, Tyffany, got the pleasure of meeting Peaches, a cross between a Pomeranian and Chihuahua. She was the most adorable little piece of fur ball you have ever seen. The girls had Jimmy John’s sub sandwiches when they got to Blessed Sacrament. Then it was time to do last minute touch ups and for Nicole to go see Jason for the first time. So, Ashley, Nicole’s sister, helped her with her make-up and Sally, Nicole’s mom, helped her slip into her dress. Nicole looked stunning in her cream strapless dress with bead work throughout and she carried a bouquet of deep red roses and white Polar Star roses. She walked up behind Jason and tapped him on the shoulder for their first reveal. They both couldn’t stop smiling. Sparks were definitely flying. Nicole got Jason a beer mug that said “Groom” on it for her wedding gift to him. We were able to grab a few shots outside before it started pouring rain. Nicole and Jason said that they were thrilled that when they heard it was going to rain because they love it when it rains. They didn’t let it dampen their spirits.

The ceremony was beautiful. The bridesmaids wore light golden strapless dresses as they came down the aisle with their matching groomsmen. Following the ceremony the guests showered Nicole and Jason with lots of bubbles as they headed to a white stretched limo by Artistic Limousine. The reception was held at the Holiday Inn Select with a classic candlelight lit room.

Nicole and Jason we want to say thank you for letting us be part of your day. We really enjoyed documenting it from start to finish.

Today started at 9 a.m. as Jeff and Tyffany arrived at Beauty First Salon to begin Jennifer’s coverage of her wedding day. Jennifer, two of her bridesmaids, and Jennifer’s mom enjoyed laughing and discussing the characters of the TV shows, “Lost” and “Grey’s Anatomy”. Everyone at the salon with Jennifer knew both season finallies, but Jennifer. She had been so wrapped up with wedding planning she missed the last episodes. It was a running joke all day about how we would go to say how it ended and then remember “oh, okay we won’t spoil it for you!” The beauticians finished just under an hour with hair. With plenty of time to spare before having to arrive at the hotel to get ready the ladies ran and purchased some champagne for the toast that would occur later during the reception.

After meeting back up with the wedding party at the Best Western to do make-up and finish getting ready Jennifer was more than ready to see her groom, Jeremiah. The ceremony location at the Best Western Hotel was nicely decorated with navy roses on an arch and highlights of navy and white ribbons on the chairs. The wedding party consisted of their three friends on each side. Jennifer’s “maid-of-honor”, Kurt, was a good sport and held a bouquet of flowers during most of the formal wedding pictures. After the ceremony Jennifer and Jeremiah were greeted by their guests as they formed an aisle blowing bubbles as they were welcomed into the reception. Jennifer and Jeremiah started the night off with their first dance, “Broken Road” by Rascal Flatts. This was followed by the cake cutting. Guests had several different choices to choose from for desert. Not only did they have their white wedding cake they had cheesecake, double chocolate, red velvet, and two different cobblers. Jennifer and Jeremiah enjoyed visiting with friends and dancing the night away.

You guys were awesome and we hope you get to have a chance to watch the season finale of “Lost”. We actually downloaded it and are watching it again as we are typing this. “You know the ending was incredible how…….” Keep in touch!

We had another beautiful day for Adam & Erin’s big wedding at St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton Catholic Church. Netanya joined Brett & Cheryl for the ceremony which was celebrated with both of their large extended families.

The girls started the day by getting their hair done at Charisma hair salon. Erin and her six bridesmaids finished getting ready at the church. The bride’s room was full of excitement as Erin’s friends, cousins and soon-to-be sister-in-laws all crowded in front of the mirrors, while Erin’s Mom steamed her dress.

The bridesmaids wore stunning dark navy strapless gowns with pale pink sashes that Erin found on-line. Erin’s gown was simply elegant with buttons and rhinestones trailing down the entire back of the gown. They carried fragrant pink hydrangea and rose bouquets created by the Flower Factory. Erin wore an elegant diamond necklace loaned to her by Adam’s Mom and her Grandmother’s diamond studded earrings. Her Grandma was so excited to see Erin wearing her earrings.

The wedding mass was celebrated by Fr. Charles Pardee from Mizzou, where the couple was involved in the Newman center and attended college and Erin’s childhood Priest Fr. James Billinger. The ceremony was followed by a gathering at Erin’s parents’ home until the dinner and reception at Eberly Farm.

Adam, Erin and the entire wedding party rode a trolley to the reception where the couple had decorated the tables with baskets of wine, personalized cork screws, grapes and flowers. Each place setting had a personalized box with a Cero’s chocolate truffle. After the filet mignon / grilled chicken dinner, the guests were treated to a dessert bar that included Erin’s favorite mouse shaped confections.

After the heartfelt toasts, Adam thanked their family and friends for all their help in making their day “more than they could ever hope for.” The couple proceeded with the dance, bouquet and garter toss. Then, went outside to get some great sunset shots.

Adam & Erin, It was an honor for us to be part or your wedding day and witness the love you have for each other, God, family & friends.
God bless,
Brett, Cheryl & Netanya

May 19th Jeff and Tyffany had an early start at the salon, Perfect Touch, with Jennifer and now husband, Jeff. Jeff’s hair didn’t take long as the stylist did a quick wash and mousse to his hair (glue as Jennifer called it). Jeff, his dad and some of his groomsmen were also able to take a quick walk through at the car show that was displayed out front of the salon. This was one of the ending events that wrapped up on the last day of the Riverfest here in Wichita, KS.

Jennifer did research for her and the bridesmaids hair to have more of a 40′s style instead of the norm with curls on top and all up. The stylists were able to pull it off with all 4 bridesmaids. After hair and make up was done the ladies headed over to the McConnell Air Force Base to get ready and have a trolley take them over to the ceremony held at the Chapel on base. As part of the ceremony Jeff smashed a cup for good luck. The smashing of the cup symbolized a temperate reminder that life carries change. As the guests shouted “Mazal Tov” it was to scare away any misfortune so that the couple may leave the ceremony free from fears.

After Jennifer and Jeff greeted all the guests as they exited the sanctuary we all hopped on the trolley to go around and grab some pics outside. One of these shots included the wedding party on an iron bridge. Then we took them to a near by playground for them to climb on equipment and bring a kid out in each and every one. After playing we needed to head on to the party that was held at the Dole Center. Jennifer and Jeff were able to relax and have fun with friends and family that had traveled all over the country to celebrate the love that Jennifer and Jeff share for one another.

Thank you for allowing us to be part of your special day.

Today started as Tyffany and Netanya arrived at Westlink Christian Church to cover bridal prep and details. Ashley arrived at the church with her mom and bridesmaids as they got their hair done by Mindy who is a beautician at Personal Touch in Valley Center. The ladies all mingled and had a good time as Sandi, Ashley’s mom, helped the bridesmaids get their toes painted. Ashley’s big decision of the day was deciding which four pair of earrings to wear. Her final choice turned out to be striking, classy and perfect in every way! They were long dangling sparkly earrings that went well with her beautiful, stunning, fitted strapless wedding gown with an elegant train.

Jeff and Barry with Fat Cat Productions were able to grab a few shots of Chase as he played touch football and pool with his groomsmen. As 3:30 approached it was time for Ashley to slip into her dress and go see Chase for the first time. This is where she gave him a card that he read out loud softly to her and tears from both streamed down each-other’s faces. They didn’t even notice us, Jeff, Tyffany, Netanya and the Fat Cat crew Barry and Steph as we were all in the sanctuary documenting their private moment. Their eyes and emotions were solely on each other. It made for killer shots for us and amazing footage for Barry and Steph. The ceremony was another tear jerker as parents cried during the ceremony as they were so happy to see their children so in love with one another.

On the back of Ashley and Chase’s program was a quote nicely stated by Nora Ephron, “When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible.” Ashley and Chase had really built a strong friendship-based relationship for five years and have planned so much for this special day. Ashley kept saying it was hard to believe their wedding day was already here.

After the ceremony Ashley and Chase had an Excursion limo waiting for them outside where guests gathered with handfuls of rose petals to shower over them as they made it to the limo. Then the driver of the limo took them with the wedding party, Jeff, and Steph to Reflection Ridge to grab some beautiful sunset shots in front of a pond and a golf course as the backdrop. Having a few more minutes left with the limo we had time to stop off at Sedgwick County park to get a few more pics. Then it was off to the reception which was held at Camp Hiawatha. The events rolled right along as they cut their cake, had their first dance, father-daughter dance, mother-son dances, garter toss, bouquet toss, wedding party dance, money dance and then the longest couple married dance. The longest married couple ended up being a tie for 56 years of marriage. Into the evening Chase had a surprise that shocked everyone towards the end. He went and got the microphone from the DJ and sang “Cross My Heart” by George Straight to his new bride and always bride Ashley.

We really had a wonderful time today documenting all the details, smiles, laughter and happy tears. Thank you guys for allowing us to be part of your day and we hope you have a blast in Florida on your honeymoon! :)
